We are pleased to announce the 2020 Combined Multi-Scale Modeling of Biological Systems Modular Summer School + Hackathon at IU-Bloomington.
Components include
-
Network Modeling Summer School Mon–Thurs, July 27–July 30, 2020
-
Network Modeling Hackathon Fri–Sun, July 31–August 2, 2020
-
Virtual-Tissue Modeling Summer School Mon–Thurs, August 3-August 6, 2020

Virtual-Tissue Modeling Hackathon Mon–Thurs, August 3-August 6, 2020
All modeling experience levels are welcome. Learn to model your biological system of interest from the ground up with one-on-one help in the summer schools. Biologists, computer scientists, and modelers team up to build research-grade models of biological systems in the hackathons. After-hackathon support helps users in the development of these models in their research. Attendees are welcome to attend whichever components they choose.
Network Modeling program covers dynamic modeling of biological networks in the open-source Tellurium modeling environment
Virtual Tissue Modeling program covers simulation at subcellular & multi-cellular scales using an open-source CompuCell3D modeling environment.
Articles based on models using these methods have been published in journals ranging from Science and Developmental Cell to PLOS One. Registration is free for all attendees.
