Following the success of the 2023 BioModels “Model of The Year”, applications are open for the 2024 BioModels “Model of The Year”. The application deadline is 29th February 2024

More details here: https://www.ebi.ac.uk/biomodels/competition/model-of-the-year-2024

The competition aims to recognize exciting mathematical models of biological systems and the modelers who build them. This is an excellent opportunity for early career modelers including Ph.D. students, Postdocs, staff scientists, Industrial researchers, and new PIs to showcase their work.  Winners will receive a cash prize, invited to write a blog in BioModels, and their work will be highlighted in a journal article published by the panel.

To enter the competition, one should submit their model code in any format (e.g. SBML, CellML, COPASI, CC3D, VCell, Antimony, Morpheus, Matlab, Python, C++, R, Julia scripts, etc) and a summary highlighting its scientific outcome and impact. Models published within the last two years are eligible.

Help spread the word across your network by sharing social media posts and encouraging modelers to submit their models to enter the competition.
